View and Search Pre-Existing Worksite Documents in Box

The document identifiers that existed in Worksite are now available in Box. They can be viewed and searched.  This article describes where to view the Worksite identifiers (aka metadata) and how to use Advanced Search in Box to find documents with specific identifiers.

Viewing Worksite Identifiers in Box

To view the original identifiers in a document migrated from Worksite to Box:

  1. Open the document in Box.
  2. Click the page ! icon.
  3. The Details page will be displayed.
  4. The Worksite Template in Box will show the identifiers highlighted below.

You can use any of the identifiers highlighted in yellow to search for documents that were migrated from Worksite to Box. Read below for how.

  • The Worksite Template does not apply to new documents created originally in Box. It only applies to documents migrated from Worksite.
  • This metadata is not fool-proof.  While many document migrated from Worksite have identifiers, it is not 100% of them.
